Question about Walter Payton?

What year was he drafted to the Bears? Was it '72 I had lunch today with Lindquist !! He was sent to the Eagles when they aquired Walter Payton. He became the Eagles team captain while there. I need to know if it was '72 though. Any way, is anybody interested in Lindquist's autograph? He will be back in Thursday for lunch and he promised to bring in a "Special" friend he said I would flip over. He also said he would be glad to start getting as many auto's as he can for me. All I have to do is supply him with the items to sign. MAN MY LIFE IS GOOOOOOD!
