Jefferson's: 6 Steps vs. 5 Steps

To all of the FS Jefferson collectors,
Would you like to see PCGS note on the slab when they certify a FS Jefferson with 6 steps. Maybe it would just add more confusion to the Registry. Seems like some of the more common 5 step dates are really scarce and maybe even rare in 6 steps. I don't know if they (PCGS) have worked out a "weighting" system yet, but maybe this is something that could be included. Might be more work than it is worth. Any thoughts?

For some life lasts a short while, but the memories it holds last forever.

Accordingly, a substantial premium could be justified for these coins. I certainly think a 6 step designation would be very helpful to Jefferson collectors.
While I have upgraded many 5+ FS coins over the last year, I have not sold a single 6 step coin that may be a grade lower than my current registry coin that in my opinion is rare in 6 full steps.

Well......, yea!

Actually, it would straighten out that series in the Registry.

They probably are but there will be a major drawback when it happens.

Or there may be a drastic reduction in value for those common date 5 steppers that get superceded by 6 steppers. Of course, this would not ring true for the cross game, IF they cross. The likely MS67 6 step candidates would be the 40-D, 41-D, 43-D, I really can't think of any other dates that are considered common in 6 steps other then the upper 1980's and on. In addition to these 3, other common date
MS66 6 steppers would include the 40, 41, 42-D, 43-S and the 44-D and 1987 and up.
Other than a premature surge of prices paid for those very first common 6 steppers that arrive on the scene, there could very well be a drop in value for those same dates in five steps.
This may also be a good reason for only a half point credit for 6 steppers unless rarity actually plays a role.
Translation please!
