More Ebay shenanigans, 11 bid retractions!

While I feel eBay provides a valuable outlet for collectors and dealers there are some auctions and bidders that scream fraud.

Take a look at the auction below, between the 2 of them they have 11 retractions. I say they are one in the same. One has bid only on the others auctions. I suspect they bid up the price then retract.

Why can I find these at random and eBay cannot do anything when it is pointed out?

Yep, that one seems pretty blatant.

  • Why would he end auction early and sell to high bidder? end early no longer available for sale and avoid the final value fee reimbursment hassle. If there is something going on they're doing it the hard way.

I am a terrible bid retractor, I admit it. I'll probably be suspended one of these days. I wouldn't hold a retraction against anyone that did it to me. I do it for no other reason than getting out of something I shouldn't be in. Not right but I bid on some expensive stuff. If I feel like I've made a mistake I'd rather retract than not honor a winning bid even if e-bay gives me the boot. I'll just start over with a new name, maybe agentjames007, think they'd figure that one out? image
