There is an article in the most recent issue of Coin World regarding a proposed PNG/ICTA grading
service survey designed to help protect the public and the novice collector from disreputable grading
services. PNG directors are quoted as saying that they are not yet sure whether the survey will be
released to the public. My question is , whats the point. Lets save them the trouble and do our own.
Here are my answers. (rate 1-100 , 100 being the highest) (use multiples of 5)
grading service grading accuracy honoring guarantee quality of holder.
PCGS 95 95 90
NGC 90 95 95
ANACS 80 90 70
PCI 65 75 85
ICG 60 95 95
SEGS 60 90 90
ACG since ACG legal counsel monitors all transmissions, I will let
Accurgrade's reputation speek for itself and say "no comment".
NTC to new to rate.
I welcome feedback from all members and PNG /ICTA members in particular
Disclaimer: The above is not a scientific survey and is based on my personal opinion,
and from the OPINIONS that I have heard from dealers/collectors at shows and in
clubs. It should not serve as a tool for consumers in their decision to buy coins.
Consumers and numismatists should form a decision based on a variety of
numismatic sources.

I'm pretty sure that offering one's opinion of their service would fall under protected free speech so, at worst, all they can do is rattle their sabre and flail helplessly in the wind.
