1959 THREE STOOGES

I JUST GOT BACK AN INVOICE FROM PSA AND IT CONTAINED TEN CARDS FROM THE 1959 FLEER THREE STOOGES SET. SIX OF THE TEN CARDS I GOT OFF OF EBAY, #96 PSA 5, FOUR PSA 7'S, AND A PSA 8. THE OTHER FOUR I PICKED UP AT THE NATIONALS FOR $13 EACH. 1-PSA 7, 1 PSA 8, 2 PSA 9'S. I AM TOTALLY SHOCKED. IS ANYONE OUT THERE MAKING THIS SET GRADED? I HAVE AN EXTRA CARD THAT I WOULD BE WILLING TO TRADE FOR ONE THAT I NEED.

I'm not familiar with this set in terms of scarcity.

Was that a good shocked or bad shocked?

GOOD SHOCK. IT SEEMS THAT WHEN I THINK A CARD SHOULD BE A PSA 9, IT COMES BACK A PSA 8. THESE CARDS I THOUGHT WERE PSA 8 CANIDATES, BUT I WAS LUCKY AND GOT TWO PSA 9'S. THE PSA 9'S HAVE SOLD FOR $100-150 EACH.

  • Maybe they have 3 designated Stooge graders especially for grading Stooges cards. :-)
  • 1954,
What card do you have a dupe of. I'm working on a registry set. (currently #2)
