    I will agree that in one weekend, the value of Spurrier became crystal clear...the Skins won, and the Gators got their butts handed to them.

    Washington did look very impressive but anyone who knows the Cardinals Defense should have predicted Washington would put up big numbers on their secondary, making the running game fall into place. Next weeks game will be a better test. Can't wait !

    You have to wonder if the Cardinals will ever get any better....they're last several picks have busted big, and they haven't even signed this years. Ugh!

    I live in Scottsdale, AZ so I hear about the Cardinals woes every year. What's sad is the Cardinals are 6 Million dollars under the cap. The owners here NEVER spend good money on players and don't believe in incentive based contracts or huge signing bonuses. What's ironic about the way the owners treat the team is that they are expecting a new stadium. They have been saying if they get a new stadium they will aggressively be take part in free agent signings in the off season. They have never thrown money around except at Jake Plummer who was a staple to Tempe having been a huge success at ASU. The public here does not buy into the owners ever spending money on the team, hence every public stadium vote has failed to pass and probably won't ever pass unless the owners pay for the stadium. It's really too bad, I can almost see this team moving in the next 5-10 years. Support for them here is at an all time low and the public blames the owners for not putting a competitive product on the field any year.

    It's kind of like Seattle, who every year tries something new and still wins 7 or 8 games. At least Arizona has the good sense to just totally suck so they can try and draft an impact guy....of course, they screw it up. image
