perhaps the trick to these is not to get any bids!? Russ's was pulled, i believe, but people were bidding on it. maybe if no one bids it is able to slip under the radar? it'll be great if time expires on this one and he relists so one actually gets redirected to the new one if they go back to the old one.

I think his stayed up because nobody complained to eBay about it. In my case, I'm sure the target went whining to them.

Speaking of fees... I almost bid on this just to help the guy cover his fees for posting it. Then I was afraid that might get it pulled... So I held back. I guess I'll just try and snipe it instead!

This guy is getting some unexpected help. I forwarded this to George Allen, owner of Allen's Coin's and Collectibles in Pittsburgh. He works for the FBI on a consulting basis appraising confiscated coins when they need him.
He's made a print out and is turning this over to the FBI there. This guy putting on the ad is from Pa., so they'll probably be contacting him real soon.
