Price Guide?

Hi everyone...hope all has been going well and those that went to the Illinois coin show in Chicago, I would like to hear from you since I live in Indiana about half way between Indianapolis and Champaign,Ill. I have noticed that everyone seems to agree that the grey sheet is way behind in keeping up on what the true price levels are for various coins and grades. There is a daily price guide on this web site. Do these prices listed seem to more accurately reflect the true levels for pcgs slabbed coin? Thanks for your thoughts and I find this to be a very informational forum. Thanks all.

  • In my opinion, it doesn't accurately reflect prices at all.

The graysheet is lacking strongly for high grade modern BU and PROOF. For that I would
recommend Numismedia.com and the PCGS daily price guide. Use about 50% for the value of
what is published there, thats what I do.

    Good Luck.

  • I agree with Winged Liberty - Numismedia is close, the CU Price guide I cut in half and that gives you a pretty close price range of what coins are going for - also the Heritage price guide seems to give a pretty good thumbscale of prices as well.

In my series, not even close. For real market information, I use eBay and Teletrade to track what the coins are actually bringing.
