But he did show that he's capable of playing in this league with success. I think he's the next Culpepper or McNabb kind of quarterback in this league.
I Dont think he looked that great he was going up towards a weak D in Green Bay. Wait till he gets a taste of one of the better D's then we will see what happens
Don't forget the Falcons lost to the Packers, That's what matters not the individual stuff, Vick may have had a good game, but he DID NOT do his job....which is to win......not to have good games, and shut up the critics....but to win.....just my imput.......
Hey dudes, we're talking about the FALCONS here! You have to remember that...he goes into GREEN BAY against that crowd and against that team and dominated! He was making people look seriously foolish! If it wasn't for Vick, the Falcons wouldn't have even had a CHANCE in that game. Give the guy credit where credit is due. They're already comparing him to John Elway...and I think he's going to be a superstar in the league.
You guys watch the highlights tonight and they'll talk about Vick the majority of the game. Yeah, they mightve lost it, but imagine if we didn't have Vick...and even Dunn is making his stand with a rushing TD. I'm still predicting 9-7.
Don't be so serious, I'll give vick his credit, if it won't for him........umm I could have seen a blowout, but just reminding you.......I'd rather have a win than a stat.......
Yeah, so would I, but hey...I'm a FALCONS fan! And having someone like Vick is something to be proud of!
I liked what this one journalist said about Vick's game today:
He went into a hostile environment and played terrifically. But Brett Favre is still the master of the comeback and didn't doubt for a second the Packers could win this game. Michael Vick showed poise in directing the last-minute drive that resulted in a field goal to send the game to overtime. He's showing why he was the top overall pick last year.
We agree with Derrick on this one.Just wait, Vick is going to be one of the best in the NFL alot sooner than some of you think. He has the poise, the ability, the quickness & the smarts to get the job done.We were impressed with his game today & just because the "team"didn't win the game doesn't mean Vicks'performance should be discounted. Watching some of the postgame shows, almost to a man most of the analyst spoke VERY highly of Vicks'performance. The wins will come;just you wait & see! Just our 2 Lincolns from 2 Va Tech fans!

I agree 100% with derrick, he made plays with little help from offensive line. I think the Falcons need to invest some money and get a new line, vick and dunn looked great, but they were constantly on the run, and had no where to go. They also need help on D. Their DB's did pretty good, especially buchanan, but they are no where near where they need to be. Come on, its the PACK, they arent very good, they have no real stars. Farve is old, green is probably their best player, but who else do they have? Driver showed himself, but glenn proved he isnt worth sh*t in the NFL. just my opinions.
Bob and jbugs, FIINALLY someone actually see's the major potential in this guy! He's definitely going to reak havoc on the NFL for many years to come and hopefully he'll bring some championships to Atlanta.
<< <i>ya, but like i said, they need their o-line and D to really step up. Vick and dunn did about all they could to keep the game close >>
I agree, but this is just a stepping stone for the Falcons. They're eventually going to have a great O-Line (it's already pretty good) and we have decent D...but we'll get better. It's just a matter of time. Dunn is also making a great impact already...(had a rushing TD today) and Duckett looks good as well...he's a horse. I expect good things from the Falcons this season and for seasons to come...
The Patriots won the Super Bowl last year, and still can't shake the critics. One O.K. performance won't calm the sharks, critics love to speak thier opinions. Even when 99 percent of them hold no merit.
<< <i>9-7 ??? Sounds like a big stretch to me.... more like 6-10 or worse. The Falcons Defense won't keep them in many games. >>
I still believe they could go 9-7, especially with the better offense that they have this season. 6-10 is actually the bigger stretch. I seriously doubt they'll lose 10 games. You seen what they did against the Packers IN Green Bay...so, it just shows what's to come if they continue to play like this.
The Packers lost the core of their offense and their defense is nothing to brag about.
The Falcons beat the Packers last year without Michael Vick playing and I believe Maurice Smith ( cut from the team this year ) was their touted running back at the time.

I hope not! When or who was the last QB "of this kind" to win the Super Bowl? I hope Vick becomes the next Elway, Montana, Young! I am not sold on running first QBs, I think Vick has one of the strongest arms that I have seen. When the Canes got ripped by him in 1999 it was not his running that killed us, it was his passing. Yeah he set himself up by running but what killed us was his arm!
You have to think throw first, if nothing is open then run it. I am not a big fan of Mcnabb and Culpepper, I think both are overrated. Give Vick Moss and Carter and see what kind of numbers he'll put up. How many Wideouts dropped passes yesterday? I saw 3 on Sports Center this morning.
The other thing the Falcons have to do is get Ducket in the game, 258 pounder running a 4.5 - WOW!
