Dime question

This is probably a silly question but I figured I would ask anyway. The attached dime appears to have some doubling on the rim (See 3:00 to 6:00) but as far as I can tell, nothing else is doubled. What do you make of it?

  • is it doubled or off-center?
  • I've seen those - it's just slightly off center...Nothing to get too excited about I'm afraid.

  • just looks like it has a double rim between 3:00 and 6:00, although I don't have the right light or lupe right now, the 9 in 198"9" and the "P" appears to have a similar line going through it.

My eyes are pretty tired and shot right now. I guess this one is best left for tomorrow morning.

It was caused by a misaligned die. This makes 1 side appear off center without affecting the other side.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
