How do you think the 9/11 anniversary affects...

coin sales, the markets, people in general? Are numismatic sales slow now, will they get slower after 9/11? I know I will be thinking of those whom lost their lives, friends, loved ones. image

The American people are thru grieving, its justice we now demand!!!!!!
And it is justice we will have.
To hell with the price of coins and to hell with the price of stock.

  • It hasn't had any effect on my boss. He had me scheduled to fly to Canada on the 11th! Now, I'm not the paranoid type... and I was flying again a week after the attacks last year... but, why push your luck?

  • I'm purposely not putting up any auctions this week. Just doesn't feel right.
  • An article in Coinworld says bullion sales are on the rise, especially with the troubled stock market.
As for personal feelings I get sadder each day the anniversary nears and I'd rather see a surprise on our part than vice-versa.
  • I just read a website with some items on the past events that occurred on that date and how the number 11 seems to be linked to many people and places over time. It is either a weird coincidence or the numerology people may have something on the chain of events. It is food for thought anyway.

The markets are down because people are worried that another attack will happen on the anniversary. That's great. It's like buying stock on sale.

The coin market hasn't been red hot like some (PCGS market newsletters) have been saying. A few areas are hot and the rest are soft. It's been that way for a long time. No change now.
