I'd have to go with Drapped Bust, only because there is a greater opportunity to buy different coins within that series. Looks wise, I still like the Flowing Hair.

I suppose i can reply to my own thread i like Capped Bust because i can get nice grades without spending an arm and a leg.

Of those sited I like the draped bust, primarily because of all the history behind the coins - If only they could talk! - Plus what MDWoods said LOL.

Capped Bust!! There is a large selection of interesting varieties and die states along with a number of minor design changes.

I like the design of the Draped Bust but find the Capped Bust (Half Dollar) more interesting because of the length of the series and all the different varieties. I think the Half Dollars are easier to find since they were the largest denomination minted for many years and extensively hoarded as silver reserves for the financial institutions.

I would say:

The flowing hair to show how simple life was way back when... I like the busts for the history...

for more modern stuff, buffs are the coolest!

Why isn't there a PCGS registry for the early halves? Maybe I'm going blind but it looks like halves start with Barbers - 1892. I wonder why that is?
