I loved it when I read "most of the full mint luster remaining". I wonder how many bottles of Tarnex the seller went through to get the full mint luster back.

I don't think that's Tarnex. It looks more like Future Floor Wax.image

Russ - A nice coat of laquer, just like King Farouk of Egypt used on coins, is my best guess. Bearimage

  • Looks like some car polish and a good buffer....

Take a look at the neutral feedback:
"Nice set. Don't understand the negative fdbk. since 2-steps. Say hi to Gomer"

Are you sure it is Tarnex. It looks chrome plated!

"...most of the full mint luster remaining. There are hardly any bagmarks and all of the breast feathers and hairlines are well defined with no sign of any wear whatsoever. This coin has a very strong strike with prooflike fields and looks much better than the scan shows."

Wow! This is why Eddie Money(?) wore his sunglasses at night! It looks like somebody took a power drill to it, with a brush attachment. Wouldn't a mirror be easier to use instead of looking into this coin?!
