All I see now is people wanting there cards or money, me included. When I first came here more than a year ago, everything was just fine. We didn't have people ripping people off left and right so what's the deal here???

i think it just proves that you have to check refs. If there is any doubt with the person you are trading with.. either ask them to send first.. or... dont risk it. It is unfortunate that it has come to it.. but.. you have to make sure you protect yourself from getting ripped off.

I know what you mean man!! It was a GREAT place to trade, now everybodys compliaing about this and that! You never know who to trade qwith, automaticcy, someone could go bad. Its crazy.... There are some trustworthy traders here, but some

It doesnt seem to be more the older traders, but more the newer. Please dont yell at me, but the majority of this crap that is going on, is the newbies.

I don't really notice any increase of rip off deals going on from when I first got here...Just more people that think we missed their posts the first 20 times and making 21 posts about the same deal gone bad...If a deal goes bad do what you have to do to make yourself feel better I guess but keep it within a few posts and don't make 50 posts like it's going to make a difference on here...Go straight to fraud dept.'s and see if anything can be done after ample time has passed (1 month or more in my opinion) and if not learn the lesson from it...I personally am about to cut out dealings with Canada just because I have had problems in recieving cards from over there (had 5 deals with Candada within the past 1 1/2 months and have recieved from 1 of the five while 6 deals to Hong Kong have gone through within 2 weeks during the same time frame)...Take the kind of action you feel you need to in avoiding the hassles and that keep trading fun for you.

Hi Alan,

Just wanted to let you know your membership to http://www.cardtradingfools.com has been approved. I cannot gaurantee you will not run into thieves on my site, but applicants there are at least prescreened for some references prior to membership.

I think one major problem with most of these trading sites' inability to keep card thieves out is the thieves keep changing their e-mail address and recirculating on the same sites. I have all but stopped trading on AOL and Beckett because of this. That is why I decided to build http://www.cardtradingfools.com and make at least a minimum attempt at screening the members. We still have 1,700+ members, and I believe they are some of the more active traders on the Internet. I hope you enjoy your membership there.

I actually did the app thing at cardtradingfools a while back...got tired of you sending me the same email asking for refs after i'd submitted the refs list twice (only got 3 emails but figured it was going nowhere if i was getting the same bs email about it)...

If I recall, you said you would check on this site for the trader's e-mail addresses and get them to me. A bunch of User IDs does not really mean anything to me, since I lack the ability to contact them to verify they exist and confirm your trade with them went well. Anyone can make a list of IDs. I need to be able to verify them. You could easily pull up their profiles and copy the e-mail address and send them to me. No offense, but if you think I am going to do your leg work for you get real.

Hi Alan,

You posted correctly. The CTF Forums are a little different than these forums. A couple differences:

1: Forums for each sport
2: Replies do not cause a post to go to the top
3: Replies do not appear in the forum, but go directly to the other trader via an e-mail. This way you do not need to log in to see if anyone replied to a post, it appears in your e-mail box and you can reply directly to that person and the forum stays clean
4: All posts are reviewed and approved by myself or moderator prior to going to the forum. This is done because we are trade-only. No sales posts are allowed.

So, because of #4 there will be a delay between posts being made and their appearance in the forum.
