I had a chance, but I was too late. I could have owned not one, but two real Silver American Eagles preserved in MINT State FOR OVER 7 YEARS!!!!
1995 Eagle
Well. maybe I can get the buyer to part with one. It will be the highlight of my collection.

do people do this to seem uneducated in the hopes of suckering someone in to "make a killing offa this guy" or is it really that hard to navigate the english language.
oh yeah, PERFECTOMANIA is alive and well.
Sorry, but in my book a pop 25 is NOT rare! Not rare enough to justify $3500 a coin. Especially since there will be more graded. How many hoards of these coins are socked away? How many speculators are there? Out of these hoards, how many will contain at least one PR70? If the pop number doesn't at least double in the next few years I will resign my self proclaimed "Numismatic Modern Day Hype Pessimist" title. Until then, I am the president of this club!
Also what is he selling a PR70 or a MS70? He lists the coins as PR70 and starts talking about MS70s in his little promo.
Some of you might flame me for my attitude here, which is fine. I have come to the place where I can no longer sit quietly. I think people are nuts when really hyped up coins that are probably no better than scare are past on as true rarities! What is going to happen to the value of these coins in the years to come when the hype wears off? The price will adjust to its true level, ie, WAY DOWN.
$7500 will buy one really nice coin that is truely rare in todays market. I paid less than that for my 1913 PR67CAM $.25 (pop 3(0)) two years ago. Recently at a Bowers and Marena auction another coin of the same grade went for $13,000. I think that people are finally waking up and smelling the coffee here.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
a bit dangerous if you ask me. Bear

But as far as pop reports go they can be deceiving.Just my thoughts but when I think about buying a coin I might check pop reports just being curious but in all reality it doesn't mean anything.Just a guide just like price sheets.
