Lincoln Wheats (1909 - 1958) Basic Set - Always Interested in Upgrading!
Would prefer not to see ebay spam here. Offer coins at fixed prices. With Copernicus this time.

Buying and Selling Policy
The PCGS Set Registry is to be used to list collections of coins and is not to be used to sell coins. Listing a coin(s) with the intent to sell it and/or pricing a coin(s) in the registry will not be accepted. The set registry is self-policing. Should you see a infraction of this policy, please report it to setregistry@collectors.com.
Maybe I'm missing something. Some can, some can't. In the click = can. Not in = can't. Because I seem to be missing it, whatever (it) is, I've asked BJ for an interpretation.
I'm not trying to toss a wrench into the system, but it should be... What's fair for one, is fair for all.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
I noticed it didn't mention the forum by name, rather the Registry. I didn't see anything else that addressed the Forum so I thought (yeah, the deadly use of your brain that gets you in trouble more times than not) maybe it was covered under the same rule. If not I expected someone, like yourself, to enlighten me.
Thanks!

If I recall correctly, this issue was discussed at length and the members here decided that if the coin was of registry quality, it was okay to post here, even if it was an eBay listing.
I believe that's where the problem lies. When did the discussion take place? Zebra18 joined Aug. 2002. Since there doesn't seem to be any information provided governing what can be posted here, how is he, or anyone else, to know?
What gets me is how it seems some can post and others can't. The one's that can't usually end up with their rearend being torn off. Rightfully so if they've been told before, I suppose.

For discussions about PCGS registry sets - building them, buying them, selling them, collecting them."

We have been around and around on this. If it is an Ebay sale mention that in the title. That said Zebra IS OFFERING THE COIN HERE FIRST!!!!! EXACTLY the way even the most anti spam member has asked. O.K. he didn't give the price but he said it was for sale here first. Did the critics actually read the post?
Personally all the negativity has driven me away from posting much of anything. It really is to bad. I wonder how much registry info we are not getting because of members being driven away?
Some collectors even seek out the lowest graded coins they can find.

What collector in their right mind would do such an outlandish act to their collection.
They would have to be mad, totally, unredeemably mad I tell you.

What coins are registry quality, I dunno but the information and postings done by the hardworking people who are on a coin budget are just as interesting to me as those that have succeeded financially in life or have lots of plastic to spend on them. I'd prefer to hear stories about how people are putting together or have put together their sets (even the mercs). These guys and gals have some interesting discussions.
"A lot of collectors and registry participants cannot afford the high grade, key date, low pop, ect ect ect coins."
"Some collectors even seek out the lowest graded coins they can find."
"To each their own, especially when coins are involved."
quattrocoins,
Everyone says registry quality coins are ok but no one can define the term Registry quality. That is my only point.
The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
You missed my point!
One last question:
Does it have a PCGS cert. #?
I got ya. So if it is in a PCGS slab IT IS REGISTRY QUALITY and thus can be posted here for sale.
