Is it me or denticles look shifted (broken dies?)

    That crack is awesome but the corrosion pit in the middle is a crying shame.

    That's an amazing die crack. The denticles on the east look like the San Andreas Fault. The cleaning that didn't remove the red stains almost doesn't matter considering the novelty of this coin. I've seen a few 1863s with reverse die cracks, but usually they're across the shield. One of the Newcomb coins from the Benson collection had both -- the most obvious at the top but the early stages also showing below the wreath.

    Most of his IHC's like this one look cleaned. However I agree with shylock it is a novel coin.
