Something smells in Kopenhagen. 1st, the luster looks totally stripped. Overdipped? Harshly cleaned? 2ndly, Id say its maybe an AU58 at best. Its kinda hard to really tell from the small scans but i "think" I see wear on the left knee & light on the breasts....

Ya, it's a nice looking dime. This is a real common as a date though. Picture isn't good enough to see if it's the rare1886/18-6.

It looks nice, assuming the "touching up" he mentions isn't something very serious. I'm with KK on the possibility/probability of it being an AU coin, and I don't like the general vibe of the auction. That said, I'm overly cautious when it comes to Ebay and it is much nicer than my seated dimes.

It's an AU and has little to do with what an MS65 brings.

MS-65 alone... i wouldnt use that lightly becayse he doesnt even have a ms coin

The problem I see is it a poor strike. Her head is weakly struck. It is hard to say about luster as lighting is everything. If it were scanned using a typical scanner, it would not show any luster. For that you'd need a digital camera.

1886 is a date known for razor sharp strikes..... Even w/ a scanner its possible to get some ideas about the luster. This coins just looks plain dead
