1969 Submission of cards from National

I just got back my submission of 25 cards (1969) I bought at the National. 6-9's 18-8's and 1-7. So I'm pretty happy. Highlights are a Satriano in 8, and an Oliver (R) in 9 along with a Cowan in 8. Dan and Ron, these are the ones I got from the same places you got yours from so hopefully you'll do as well.

  • Good submission Bob. Are you flipping them or rebuilding the set? I'd be interested in the Satriano if you're selling/listing it. I had Danny review mine at the show and he predicted it would 7. I'd actually be happy with that because it has some snow and a scrape on the back.

    Bob,

    Congrats on your results.

I did get mine back already and they are already on the Registry (scans and all). From that same source: I got 22 - 9's and 40 - 8's. I paid $350 for those 62 cards. I also submitted 10 from another dealer. That was the single best "show purchase" for me ever! The vast majority of those 9s were low pops. The vast majority of the cards were extremely well centered with bright backs.

Also, I thought the grading was very fair and accurate this time. What's your opinion on that?
  • Dan,

Pretty phenomenal submission. Roy White is a very difficult card to find well-centered and the fact that you have a PSA 9 is even better. Of course, as I have previously attested to in the past, many of your PSA 8's that you get from your own submissions are borderline PSA 9's. I have had similar positive experiences purchasing PSA 8's from Bob Cacamese as well.

I still have a Mike Ferraro #83 pending grading at PSA plus six others I need for my set. There are no 8's of the Ferraro. My card looked good, but it may get a PD for a some light printing. Stay tuned.....

  • Hey Dan thanks for the great 68's for my set I just bid on 36 of your 1975 psa 8's. Cant beat the opening price on these I hope you at least breakeven on the eights as I pretty sure you got nines in the same group that you should make some cake on. It may be cupcake but at least its some cake.

    Dan,
Your the one who got the Roy White in 9! Now I'm jealous! I got a few POP 1's too, #317 Bruce Look, #522 Joe Hoerner, and #149 Ollie Brown along with the Oliver which you and Ron saw at the show, thats a POP 3 now. I also just got a Radatz in 8, a Kekich in 8, (not the one I lost) and aRandy Hundley in 9 that is super tough too like the White. Also a Tillman #374 in 10. Radatz thru Tillman were purchases.

    Dave,

Thanks for bidding on the '75s. I'm selling those for another collector. Good luck! Also, I'm getting in more '68s from PSA. I think you need a few of them in 8 and there will probably be some 9's that you need. I'll let you know when they arrive.

    Bob,

Great job on the Radatz! That is one tough card. The Tillman in 10 is a nice pickup too! Congratulations.
