can someone tell me..about a morgan dollar

I have a 1921-S Morgan dollar, in good condition. you can see the feathers on the wings, and the arrows, all delicate areas are viewable. I last priced it at 35.00 in 1990, and have had it in my jewelry box since, it's never been touched by hands, it's in plastic. I'm wondering, how much is this worth now?

this is what it says, but what does it mean?

the only one they have priced is a 64, does that mean mine is 64? I'm lost lol

Skinny - another option is checking Ebay to see what 1921-S Morgans are currently selling for. This link has a wide variety in all grades that you can use to compare with yours.

Somewhere around $25-$30 if it is Mint state and depending on what condition of Mint State. Maybe worth more but we don't know without seeing it.

I doubt your coin is in that condition, as proces on these coins have dropped dramtically over the past 10 years. If your was worth 35 then it's probably a $25.00 coin now

I'm dead serious. that's what mine looks like, but maybe one grade lower. like I said it's been in my jewelry box since 90, and I dont even pull it out, it hasn't been touched..

hey, but I do have just one more question. it's in plastic, how do I handle it without messing it up, I heard that if you hande it with your hands the oils from your hands get on the coin, that's what makes the luster dull, so how do I get it out of the plastic? I know it sounds stupid, but I'm concerned...

Just use a pair of scissors. And use gloves to handle it (on the edges only.) But why take it out? You'll just have to put it back into something to protect it. If it's to scan it, you can probably do it thru the plastic.

o.k, here's what I'll do, when my son goes to school in the morn, I'll get a ziplock (I saw this in the coin handling post) and take it out with that. and then scan it and let ya'll see... :-)
