SGC Registry set

Well it's official, SGC is launching an online set registry next month. It will be interesting to see how they do, since I don't envision many collectors rushing to crossover their PSA cards to SGC. Still, the competition could benefit us, if it pushes PSA to lower prices, improve turnaround times etc. I'd be curious to see how SGC's All Time Mantle set measures up against some of the PSA sets now listed [probably not even close].image

Anything that promotes/encourages collectors to collect is of benefit to the collecting community. I wish them well...

  • PSA has a huge head start, so I envision some slow going for SGC. I think their player sets will be the first to see completion. There just aren't many SGC graded commons out there. But than again, that's the purpose of the registry. Promote graded set collecting.
I don't see many collectors looking to reslab their PSA cards into SGC. But I can envision many SGC 92's being cracked and resubmitted to PSA hoping for those elusive 9's
