What do we guess that Carlos 72 and 74 set bring?

I have been noticing that both of Carlos "big" sets - the 72 and 74 Topps Baseball - really haven't moved much if at all over the last couple of weeks sitting at $4100 and $3300. Where do folks think that these will end up - pricewise?

I'm guessing that they'll be bought and broken up much the same way that Mintxpress did with Bob's 69's.

    Carlos,

If thats what they go for - you'll see an FB #2 and an FB 74 set as well!
But somehow, I'm betting that the dealers will jump in over the last 2 - 3 days.

I have been watching the 1972's in PSA 8 on EBAY and they haven't been doing all that well...most closing between $7-$9.99

    Here's a link:

Granted, the high numbers and superstars will bring the average up...let's hope for the best.

    Frank,

It looks as if the 72 set is starting to get some action but the 74 set is barely moving. I know it will come down to the last day, but this is nerve racking.

I use to sit on this computer all day and check the Submission Status link on PSA's web site to see if my cards have been graded yet. Now I check the the superior web site almost every hour to see if one of my lots received another bid. To be honest I kinda like it. image

    Carlos,
I was the same way with the 69 set. It even went down to the last hour. I'll put my bids in now.

Just a few hours left and the BIG sets are still much lower then I had hoped for.

    gaspipe (Bob),

I know what you were going through when you sold your set.
