Someone can tell him nicely not to make posts like that, and move on.... The only problem being is that no matter how long anyone
has been a member of this or any message board, this message board is public..
The ONLY moderators are employees of Collectors Universe. and since the guy didnt use bad language, or make sexual comments,
i dont think he offended anyone. And if you are offended by him posting a message about his coin being for sale in the wrong message
forum, then i think you need professional help.
I have no clue who the guy is but, this didnt have to be the big problem that it turned out to be, because he is new.
Everyone was new here at some point. .. my opinion anyhow...

<< <i>But see, you guys are missing my point.. the poor guy made a mistake., why all the attitudes? >>
I didn't say a word to him, or about him, until he cluttered up the board with about 15 troll posts in a row. Had he simply taken the initial advice that was offered, used that advice, then there would have been little problem with anyone.
Instead, he chose to react like a two year old and start posting thread after thread. He dug the hole himself.

Mike should have noticed (with 50+ posts) that there were no coins listed for sale in the US Coin Forum. There are two discreet sections in most newspapers that handle articles and classifieds. I tried to bring this to his attention in a non-threatening way, and it was poorly received. With 7000+ members that buy and sell coins, I really don't think being courteous to other members by not spamming their messages off of the page is much of an imposition. You're right of course that sometimes auctions get air time anyway, but PCGS itself polices blatant misuse.
This is how I told him. I just didn't think I was harsh.
Its4real, I see that you're pretty new to the boards, but some time ago (6 mos), we came to an uneasy gentlemans agreement that no one should hawk their coins for sale on this forum, but would rather post the item to the Buy,Sell,Trade forum. It was also agreed by many that the coins would be offered before they were put on ebay at a fixed price. It has created a lot less clutter here, and has worked pretty well for the seller. Finally, IMHO, it is OK to end and auction early if there are no bids, but once the coin is in play, ending early (while legal on ebay) is poor form. It is a nice coin, and I wish you luck.
As for his use of language, see the final post in the thread below, and see if he's out of line

I loved his use of ttt titty top
I don't care what he thinks, but I do respect your opinion, and felt I should take a moment to explain my concern.
