I sent a 1917 Type I standing liberty to PCGS last week. I'm just curious as to what everyone thinks it will grade.. Here are the links - I'll post back when I get the grade back.
Kinda hard to tell from the scans - the front looks real nice, the eagle's wing tips and breast would have to be looked at carefully for possible rubs. If it has killer brilliance it might get to 65FH unless there's the above mentioned rubs. Else 64FH, again if not rubbed. Good looking coin either way!
I have to concur with the grade of MS64 FH. Did you send the coin to PCGS in that exact holder? If so, you're not supposed to send them with staples. They could potentionally scratch your coins.

Nice Looking. It looks like some rim dings are present on both Obverse and Reverse. Just by that I will give a range of AU55 to MS63. Reguardless Nice Looking Coin.
Probably a MS62 and maybe MS63 at best. The luster weakens up in many places and Liberty's right leg shows some flatness (high point friction). The depth of luster from the protected areas of the eagle's feathers to the outer edges changes dramatically. Same with the reverse fields. The golden areas are the lustrous ones, the whitish areas appear to be weak on the luster. Would expect MS 65's to show uniform luster across the figures and fields. Let us know how it grades.
