  • Wow i think u r a record for most threads/posts in a page image i counted 18

  • Thats cool that people who have been collecting coins for a while are respected here....

why cant EVERYONE be respected here? This is a public place.. and I think that because people use "sign in" names... they feel
brave and like to trash others because they think that no one knows their name. people get so brave behind a screen.
  • keyword is more would u believe a reply to a question more if it was a vetrain or a new member the new member might be a very expericansed collector but u know that the people that have been here for a while are.

    Michelle,

Many members use their real names. I use my first and last, along with a link to my family business, a phone# and an address. I have been lucky enough to meet several of the members here in person, and have always enjoyed the conversations.

    who's in charge here? Huh?

My best guess is that PCGS and their chosen forum moderator Carol are in charge. If you have a question about using the forum as a billboard, you should PM her. I'm sure she'll help.image

  • Its4real. i have noticed a bit of quick temper on this board and wonder why some members seem to assume that all board members are equally knowledgeable about such things as board etiquette, and rules of the road. I have felt a bit kicked at times as a newbie. But it now seems that you have gone completely nuts. I can think of no positive outcome to your senseless rantings. Perhaps you should take a day off the boards to reconsider their value in your life.
  • Since I don't see any of the other 10K members posting right now, I have power of this forum for now.

    GET THE F$%& OUT!!!!!!!

GO PLAY BARBIES WITH SOMEONE ELSE YOU F#^#$&# PANSY!!!!!!!!!!

We can let all of his threads sink. No one reply to them anymore.

This Forum is a little like your old time barber shop in anytown USA. It was and is a gathering place for people, young and old. While no one is in charge from moment to moment, the author of a particular thread may act as moderator for that thread.

From time to time our several Wise Wizards of Knowlege present a discourse on some aspect of coin collecting that is so clear, profound and brilliant , it just takes ones breath away. The rest of us folk contribute nuggets of knowlege or reasoned opinions of some lesser dimension. Within the ranks of this Forum , are doctors, carpenters, construction workers, truck drivers, electricians, attornies, chemists, teachers, nurses, pharmacists and bussiness men of companies both large and small. We have collectors and dealers , both wholesale and retail.

I suspect if we looked hard enough, we could find an indian chief or two and even a candlestick maker. All in all, if the members of this forum were placed in a forest area, we probably have the collective skills to build a modern town and govern it. In addition ,we have veterins and active duty personel from all the branches of the service reaching back to WWII up to the current Afghan campaign.

As for leaders, it seems that every person on this forum is a leader at something, at some time and at some place. How fortunate we all are to contain such a really neat assembly of talented people.

The purpose of this forum falls in three main areas, education, entertainment and friendship. While most of us have never met the other members of the Forum, we seem to function as an extended family. If we seem dysfunctional at times, we still manage to complete the goals of the Forum. Why we have even been known to take young trolls and turn then into actual human members of our family. Be well Bearimage

Methinks that some of us are confusing the distinction between courtesy and respect. While we should all treat each other with courtesy, respect is something that should be earned either through display of significant knowledge or a worthwhile contribution to advancing that knowledge.

  • Its for real, just got done reading one of your previous threads about your 1/2 dime. Seems to me most everyone who responded was courteous. Why the attitude? By the way, I have learned more in the last month here than I would of expected. Chill out, kick back, read everyday, and post when you have something to contribute,

I don't understand why he got so upset. Many posters were offering good advice, in a friendly manner.
