    I'm going. Most likely Thursday so I can beat all the other forum members that can't take off work to all those great coins. image

    When Steve and I go to shows..we are pretty focused on making sure we see Every Single Peace and Morgan dollar in the whole place.
    Sometimes we see the same dollar at 3-4 different tables as it trades hands !
    Takes about 2 full days to see all the dollars.
    Lots of fun !

    I feel a cold coming on (cough cough), I'll probably have to take off sick on Thursday.

    Oh well, no sense staying at home might just as well go to a coin show.

    Well, since no one wants to commit to a day to meet at the $5 Coke stand I'll say Thursday is best. I'll be there Friday and Saturday as well. I'll try to keep away from Greg because I have a tendancy to scream loud. lol

    Be there Thursday alone and Saturday with the wife. I'm really trying to force her to like this "coin thing" as she calls it.

    Today she was a little more interested. I made over a $100.00 on Ebay and took her to the Pasadena show. She wasn't impressed. LB will be much better.

    Definitely Thursday! Greg's right- that's the best day for stagging all the good ones before Friday's crowd. Otherwise you buy the same coin after it's been flipped from Dealer to Dealer now at a much higher price tag.

    Let's meet Thursday around 11:00 at the snake bar? -Just don't order anything there.
    Just next door is a wonderful all-you-can-eat lunch that is delicious.

    I'm flying in early Thur and will be there sometime that afternoon and all day Friday. Hope to catch up with you guys -- I'll be the one wearing a druel bucket and pampers at the IH display.

    It only took about 2 minutes of gmarguli repeatedly calling me "the Hobbit" before I walked away cussing.

    Since I am going to be on vacation for much of the month, I don't think I'm going to be able to take time off for Long Beach. If I can get a few hours off I'll try to be there Thursday at 11:00 AM.

    I can't leave here until Friday evening. So I will be there Saturday. I haven't made plans yet, but I must go. I'll try to meet up with whoever I can, but if you notice a guy with coins hanging from his baseball hat please stop me and say hello.

    I will be there Monday at the Hotel, Auctions, and even shuttling dealers to and from the airport to get first shot before gsaguy arrives for dealer set-up on Wed. So if you are coming Thurs. you might as well leave your checkbook at home!

    A little know fact. Most major coin conventions have dealer set up on Monday(unofficial, of course) in the hotel rooms of a few select dealers. Wheeling and dealing goes on and most substantial coins sell and never reach the bourse floor. If you ever been invited by a major dealer to see the newps at the hotel, be prepared to spend some major $$$$$$.

    Very interesting Truth. If all this is done on Monday and Wednesday is the actually "dealer day", what happens on Tuesday? Run to the bank day? lol
