Proof Barber quarter?

Proof?

Does anyone else think that this coin looks proof? I don't know if I believe it...

    For sake of accuracy there is a small mark on the rim.

  • It could be a proof. I wouldn't want that particular example, because that gouge on the rim is pretty defaming.

    Looks like a rat thought that quarter was a piece of cheese. I think the quarter is a little cheesy also.

    I can't see any reason think this coin is a Proof. It would have been a nice circulated example with attractvie toning on the reverse had it not been for the rim cut, which ruins it.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals.
