SCORE!!! THE DUDE FOUND IT! Poll: Are SP Buyback Auto cards worth less if you dont have the other

UPDATE....lol....after all that, the guy found the holo card....ripken auto, come to me baby! image

lets say you have the autod card, with the holo on the back...but not the OTHER card that comes with it, with the matching holo and authenticity...how does it affect the value?

    it's not worthless, but the holo is very important if you ever plan on re-selling the item. I don't know how you can lose it unless you just don't care about your items in the first place. So in other words.......

    take it if you just want to have a auto of the player and plan to keep it and don't take it if you plan to resell it on ebay.

    i personally didnt lose it, a person im dealing with says they may have lost it...im determining whether i want the card or not based on your guys responses...

    THE HOLO CARD LAST TIME I FOUND OUT GAVE THE CARD PROOF THAT IT WAS A BUY BACK AND IT DOESNT STATE THAT ON THE BACK I THINK...ITS LIKE ME AUTOGRAPHING A CARD OF MJ AND I CAN TRADE IT AND GET A WHOLR CRAP LOAD OF STUFF AND I WOULD NOT HAVE PROFF CAUSE THE HOLO CARD STATES THAT THAT CERTAIN CARD IS A BUY BACK

    i wouldnt do it... how do u lose the holo ? lol thats the main ingredient to authenticate a buyback... otherwise hes just tryna scam u...

    Ok guys, here's the thing. If you try and grade a buyback you don't need the certificate with it. I know a collector that sent in a Mike Bibby buyback 98 SP authentic(Rc #ed 2/3) for grading and when he got the card back he did not get the certificate with it. The card is graded but there is no certificate with it. The new owner loves the card but still feels like it has less value because it doesn't have the certificate. I recently graded my SP authentic Lafrentz RC #2/3 with BGS and they didn't need the certificate. Still have it with the graded card and I feel it will get it's full value when it comes time to sell. If it didn't have the cert, then it would go for little less. It all depends on the collector too. I feel it's less because it's something that originally came with the card, the do belong with eachother so you do need it.
