Has anyone else been Kicked off of Boomspeed?

Has anyone else been Kicked off of Boomspeed? I uploaded a new pic of my daughter last night (8/28) it worked fine when i tested it, but this morning when i got to work, i noticed that it was gone. So i thought well, the site is down. it was still down at 2PM this after noon, so i checked and they said my account was disabled!!!! Apparently, you can't use the to post anything other than auction pics. Did this happen to anyone else, or am i the only poor sucker out here?

B.

PS, does any one else know of a free image hosting service ?

Send me the pic, and I'll upload it to one of my sites so you can link it.

I got the same message (or similar), but they gave me a week to correct the problem. I removed the non coin realted pictures and so far so good.
  • Yeah, they said they were sending out email about it, but i bet my wife saw it and deleted it, thinking it wa junk mail. Phooey!

Boomspeed is an image hosting service that is (or used to be) free. I used them for a short time for that very reason. Until I found that you get what you pay for with free image hosting sites. After having my Boomspeed-hosted auction pics take fer freakin' ever to load, and crashing regularly, I kicked myself off Boomspeed. I called 'em "SlugSpeed" thereafter.

But they might have improved since then.

BTW, BlueCole, that was one mighty cute little girl when the picture was working. She doesn't look as good in Red-X form. image

I use andale to host pics of Miss Victoria. image

(I need to upload the new ones. That's pretty out of date. Why, heck, she's walking now!)

But andale ain't free, and I am not thoroughly enchanted with them. I liked it much better when it was honesty.com. The site was easier to navigate, they didn't make you slog through a bunch of nonsense to get to your image library, and they were free, then (before andale gobbled up honesty). I will say this for them, though: aside from scheduled, "maintenance" outages, I cannot recall ever seeing the Red-X-Of-Death on one of my andale pics. I prepaid them for a year.

If you ever find a reliable free image hosting service, do please let us know.
