Starting a mint state set of wheats

I am upgrading my wheat set to "mint state". At this point I have only 2 or 3 coins that meet those requirements. I have been looking on E-Bay. I have bought a few but have not received them as of yet. Any tips as to whom is most trusted in this series on E-Bay. I have a complete set now except for the 09svdb. It's nice to have a quest. I have been buying coins with no goal. Not that I haven't had fun doing it mind you. I want all of em red and I am not in a hurry.

Lincoln Wheat's are a great set to collect! Are you buying them slabbed or raw?

  • traderbob is a penny guy--PM him, or maybe this thread will get his attention. He's the only penny guy here that pops into my head -- i'm sure there are others, so ask them to Private Message you with info & tips. there's a web site i've seen in a couple of magazines, www.pennyfarmer.com (i think--try it, but let me verify it) so try them.

  • I've only been looking at raw. I have the 09s,14d, 31s two of each. They are slabbed. None or MS. I belive I can get a better price raw. Sometimes the gamble is fun. I'll check out the "pennyfarmer".
