The value will probably double as soon as it is sold because the next day I will auction the next coin for 200k+.

Why waste your money in the stock market at least you will get a return on your money here and won't lose it all.

Maybe he will increase the price a couple more times, then have a "blowout clearance prices slashed" sale, and let it go for only $5000

Hey, it's $22,000 less than he was asking the last two times he was trying to sell one.

And as a wonderful gesture, he now will give you the whole proof set - in the earlier auctions, he was going to send the buyer just the quarter!

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Well......I think I'll hold on to my $90,000 for now. However, if the man does have 10 coins from one order, all with the EXACT same mark, then he may well have a big time rarity. Though, not likely to be 90 grand worth! I'd love to see the results of a PCGS/NGC/ICG grade.

It only costs $3.30 to list the coin.

Just my luck: I'd buy the coin and the one I'd get wouldn't have that pretty pink toning...

  • If anyone would be dumb enough to buy that coin and then find out it doesn't realize the return that the seller is claiming would be surely pissed. What is with the $3 shipping and $50 insurance? Guess you will probably get the coin a manila envelope. At his reduction and relisting rate, it may take about 50 years before the coin is worth buying.

  • There was another thread on this 2 days ago, did it get axed by an admin or something? I can't find it.

Also, this guy is hilarious. If he has any luck with his "dented rim clip" one, I'll send him my whole stock of rail-road crushed coins and have him sell them as rare, "mint roof collapsed on die coins". I should be able to command big money on each and there is a railroad only a half mile from my house if I need more image

  • He says

It would be fraud and I am not a fraudulent person

Does anyone believe this? It could very well be considered fraud including mail fraud to misrepresent the value of this item so much. Maybe someone should contact Mr. Travers and get him on this guy.image

    Mike,
Now that is some funny sh@t I read there at that link. Hey the next coin for
sell is also very funny. Wait till all you guys see this one. It is called
"THE PERFECT STORM." It is a Virginia clad state quarter that has a raw error
on it. It looks like a big rain cloud over the ships. I just sent one of the
2000 S. Massachusetts to Accugrade for slabbing. It is neat coin and very
small quantity are out there. That's the reason for the high price. If there
are more out there then of course the price will get lower but until then the
    price remains.

No, you don't get the whole set... he says he will carefully remove it...

And don't forget... once one is bought, the next is listed at $200k... guess he'll never list one at 200k...

    "Michael,
You stated. This guy has relisted the set with a price of $95K. Stupidity

At what university did you get your Ph.D. in coin collecting? They should

  • You guys should have listened the first time. Your now being punished for not recognizing this fantastic deal and will cost you $5K more. Buy it this time or you'll recieve another flogging with another $5K increase. Seriously let the I.D.I.O.T. have his fun. No one with that kind of money made it by doing something as stupid as buying into something like this. Maybe he likes to pay e-bay fees rather than taking in a good movie. When I list something I like comming home after work and seeing if anybody bid ( and you guys ain't bidden come on click dat button). I can imagine this guy comming home thinking that someone just might have bid. What an I.D.I.O.T.

The demand doesn't appear to be very high. Maybe someone should explain to him that demand means that someone actually wants it.
