I have a theory on this guy.....Remember scrooge McDuck? Remember the vault he used to swim in? Well, Anacondas Piggy bank is about the same size!

Fact of the matter is, people go to the top paying dog around. Anaconda has the bank to pay top dollar for the top stuff.

Another point, mych in the fact of Wondercoin (Great seller in my opinion). He is a seller that can move top quality coins for top dollars. If I was trying to move my set for top dollar I would consider him in a heart beat. So, some of the wonderful coins these two guys have, are on consignment from individuals that want top dollar and great exposure.

Keep in mind, these guys sell to the top registry holders and the top coin hoard people out there. These people specificaly go to these guys to see the best coins available on the market.

    I hope this helps,
    Ray

Howdy folks! Pretty cool Antietam, eh? I feel very privileged to be able to offer items like these, as well as being able to enjoy their possession. I am very greatful for my good fortune. I do, however, miss that 1795 Dollar in PCGS MS 63, though! (An image appears at the bottom of the listing of the Antietam).

I started posting to this board not long ago but my right arm is giving me some trouble - strained tendon or ligament (not apparently carpel tunnel as i had originally thought), so I'm not able to write as much as i'd like. I still try to get in here and read a little bit now and then.

For those of you who have been away, I posted a hopefully thought provoking thread entitled something like "toned vs. white" and I think I put 'ANACONDA' in the title so you can find it, if you're interested, by using the search function and inputting 'ANACONDA' in the title. Also, for those of you who were interested in the monster toned Roanoke in ANACS MS67 that I owned and that a lengthy thread was on, it sold recently at a coin show to a person who was very familiar with the coin and the thread.

By the way, I do occasionally sell other people's coins but right now I think that the only one that is up, that I don't own, is a rainbow toned DMPL Morgan that is in my eBay store which will get re-listed soon, starting at one cent and which will be unreserved. (I'll try to move that into the auction tonight.) I have probably violated some rule by mentioning an item in my inventory that is for sale, but hopefully, everyone can accord me this one piece of mercy since a speculative comment was made about my ownership of my inventory.

the commem. is stunning, but i can feel the pain of letting that dollar go too soon. i love those old bucks and at that lofty grade the pops. are miniscule.

  • There was a commem for sale??? Man-oh-man, what a dollar!

I will console myself by assuming it was 10x what I could afford anyway. Must be twice as bad for you to have had it and let it slip away into anonymity. image
