Whats up with everyone stopping collecting while school is on?

For some reason ive heard like 20 people quitting collecting while school is on? What is it? You can't pass school and collect at the same time? lol SAD just me opinion.

i'm going to be a senior in high school this year. high school and college life is getting more difficult, especially if you take like all AP courses. i will continue to collect, but i won't be able to be on cu for like 5 to 6 hours everyday like i am during summer vacation. when school starts, i can be on no more than 5 minutes on cu because of my time limit (homework, homework, calling girlfriends, homework). so what i was trying to say in my earlier post is that i can't be on cu all the time, but i will go to my local card shop every friday or saturday to pick something out. hope this helps you.

I relize college is hard but my comment wasen't pointed at directly you. There are many people jsut quiting cuz "its not cool enough"

well, techniquely, if a person goes to high school or college and say they collect cards, they will be made fun at. its like saying i like pokeman or something. there are different levels of collecting, some seriously, some as just collecting when a person is a kid. who knows?

I have no idea where you come up with that chilinbij. there are a ton of people that collect that go to high school. I know quite a lot of people that are in the armed forces that collect. i even had teachers that collected and would have a day like friday where we all could bring in our cards and trade with each other.

americanfreak: trading in school is allow maybe in the pre-school you go to, but you got to be serious, cards in fun collecting as a HOBBY, not a job. there are more serious things going on right now. my senior year is suppose to be my best year of my life, i don't want to waste it. i want to spend my time hanging with friends, not on cards. yeah, i'll go and get a few cards here or there every weekend or so, but i do have a life. i don't care what other's do, but school is a serious thing.

Dude i never said it was being a job to collect. i said that i know people that collect that are high school teachers and people in the armed forces. If you think every one will make fun of you for collecting thats your problem. I never said that you have to collect and not hang with your freinds or anything like that. you said that techniquely if you go to collage and or high school then people make fun of you for collecting. i just stated that i know teachers that collect and would have a day that anyone that wanted to bing in cards could trade. I know alot of people in the armed forces that collect. there is a card shop in texas that every month goes and sets up a card show just for the people in the milatary and he makes alot of money with those shows.

it's just a hobby. i like collecting too, but only on a limited basis (time and money). when i have alot of time, i collect, if i have no time, then i can't collect. that's just me, but everyone else is unique.

I was not talking about haveing time to collect or anything like that. you said that people in high school make fun of people that collect cards. i was telling you that not everyone thinks collecting cards in high school thinks its childish and i stated hight school teachers that i know that collected.
