Okay, if I don't get the CAM designation on this Accented Hair...

It looks like that until you get it under a loop. It has a couple minor flaws; a hairline, and a little chatter on the shield that will probably keep it at a 67 grade. It is right on the cusp of DCAM and compares favorably to other PCGS DCAMs I have. But, with the way PCGS has been lately, I'll be looking for just the CAM designation.

Nice coin! Are you saying that coin graded 68 plain? Or this is a another try with a new coin? That one looks like a DCAM obverse and a Cam reverse. The left wing of the eagle might be a little weak or maybe a little shaded.

I tried some scans of my 67 Cam. The show the frost well, but it looks creamier. There are many reflections and dust specs and so forth. So many I didn't want to post them in the same thread as these images But my obverse seems comparable to yours except mine is weak at the sideburns.

The reverse on the above is pure DCAM - per the graders at PCGS. I had the coin pulled, and taken back to them when the grade was posted. According to them, it is the obverse that killed the designation.

the scan of the second coin looks from the obverse that it was graded correctly and not given the CAM designation. my understanding of their guidelines is that frost break will cost the DCAM and frost missing will cost the CAM. weak overall frost without breaks will only earn CAM. PR68CAM would be a nice grade for the first coin.

That's a beaut!!!! If that's not CAM then I quit coin collecting.
I agree with some of the others, the front is DCAM and the reverse is a solid CAM. Nice coin, when you get it back let me know if its for sale. I could use a nice 64.

It looks a little light on the facial area and the shield and left wing(that looks like shadow on the wing though) but it should get CAM. Might take a couple tries though, they don't give them away.
