Another Great EBay Deal! (for laughs)

Found this when I was trying to value a 1976 Proof Quarter Die Crack I want to sell.

Guess I can payoff my student loans now! I'll try selling it to him for half of what he's asking for his die crack. Or should I just want until he raises his price to $200K.

That guy never gives up. Price changes every time he lists it.

  • I cannot believe that he sets his opening bid at $90,000!

What is the E-Bay posting fee for $90,000???image No wonder it keeps going up, he must be getting killed in posting fees!!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • NOT AGAIN! He's spending more on ebay fees than his scratched plastic is worth.
If it is genuine, why wouldn't he've put that money towards having it certified?

  • How much does he have to pay each time he posts this? $90? Someone ought to write to him and say that it looks like a crack on the plastic holder LOL.

  • Why burst his bubble?

If his willing to pay Po$ting fee's let him!
It's just a matter of time till he realizes what he has.. or has not...

damn i was gonna grab it until i noticed his OUTRAGEOUS shipping charge. what kind of dolt does he take me for anyway? maybe i'll write him and ask if he has any problem-free proofs for sale.

this reminds me of the guy that claims he has EVERY "bleeding eagle" sac or whatever he's building them up to be.

No words....but here is a quarter with die cracks and some other oddities he bought on Ebay for .55 cents. How come he wasn't willing to shell out $90,000 for that rare error???

maybe he WAS willing. maybe he posted a proxy bid of $90,000 but the bidding only went to 55¢. i should have shilled him up to $75,000-$80,000.

  • Ok, here is the question of the day:

Let's assume this coin is worth $10 or whatever. I.e. no where near $90,000.

Unless this guy is insane, he would research something he thinks is worth $90,000. One or two quick searches on google and he'll have this very message board.

So, lets assume that he is either 1-insane, or 2-a bleepin' shister.

Ok, if he's insane, then there is nothing more to talk about.

If he's a bleepin' shister then, he is also stupid.

Any right thinking person would know that dumb people rarely have $90,000 to blow on a coin.

However, dumb people frequently have 2 or 3 thousand to blow.

So, why not start the bidding low? Heck, he could hype this think up to $100 at least, hott_babe did.

It just makes no sense. He could be bilking someone out of $1-3 thousand but instead he insists on $90,000.

This guy is very wrong thinking.
  • WoW! Maybe I should list my clad proof South Carolina piece that has huge skid marks on it straight from the U.S. Mint? It's got to be worth at least 80K, right? image

It costs $3.30 to list an item for $90,000. He has given Ebay more now than the coin is worth.

He must be insane since he states very clearly in the text that "I am not a fraudulent person".image

What if the $90,000 grades PR-69 and the $200,000 coin grades PR-67? I'me sure we will all feel like we missed a real deal. image

  • i guess no will become a christain. image
