Since we have a NFL poll going, how bout NCAA?

Everyone knows that every year a Florida team will be ranked #1, usually Florida State because of their "CUPCAKE" schedule building up to one of only 2 big games the entire season. I was almost LMAO Saturday night when Iowa State almost showed the nation how crappy Florida State really is. Oklahoma should be tuff as always if they can beat Nebraska. Tennessee and Texas should be strong and of course MICHIGAN!! That's right, the WOLVERINES are the most DOMINANT defensive team in the LAND. ESPN the Magazine had the Power 16 rankings last week and put out the following:
1 Oklahoma, 2 Florida State (yeah right), 3 Miami, 4 Texas, 5 Tennessee, 6 Florida, 7 Georgia, 8 Ohio State, 9 Colorado, 10 Washington State, 11 Washington, 12 Oregon, 13 Nebraska, 14 Michigan State (LMMFAO), 15 Virginia Tech, 16 LSU
Michigan has 3 of these teams on their schedule and Dirtmonkey and I get to go watch them knock the first one off this list this Saturday when they manhandle Washington at the BIG HOUSE!
Who do you think and don't even say the names of Florida State, Ohio State or Michigan State. Sorry Notre Dame fans, this isn't a wishful thinking poll so come on and bring it on! Who's it gonna be?
ANY JOEY HARRINGTON, PAVEL DATSYUK, HENRICK ZETTERBURG, TAYSHAUN PRINCE, any rookies, gu, or auto's of any current Red Wings, Pistons, and Lions players. None of the Tigers so dont ask!

Miami of course.....Texas...Florida....thats my top 3...reason Florida State is high is just to "honor" bowden i think lol...although i like em a bit...my team is Miami...they are awesome and a VERY fast defense this year image

  • It's good choices but Texas and Florida State will both trip up before the end of the year. Miami has a good shot. That whole honor thing for Bowden is getting way out of hand. Bo Schembechler dismissed that crap when he was around, Bowden eats it up like everything else at the supper table, lol.

  • My heart says Michigan, but my head says Texas. I think Chris Simms will finally win a couple big games this year. By the way, I'll also be at the Big House saturday

i think Miami will repeat... as long as their D holds up, they have the best chance... Texas and Oklahoma are the best possibilities next to Miami... i don't know enough about to Michigan to judge them... Florida has the team but it solely depends on how Zook controls the reins... FSU is, once again, overrated... that game should have gone to OT... Rix is not going to lead them anywhere... they could very easily be 0-1 right now...

i'm hoping my 2 teams - VA Tech and Maryland - will move up the ladder a little bit... they have the potential to have great seasons... the Hokies dominated yesterday, 63-7 over ASU (which i know isn't saying much), so i'm hoping for a strong season from them... if Perry can stay healthy, the Terps have a good chance to get back to the top 10... we'll see what happens i guess...

  • Virginia Tech does appear to have a good team but they too, have that one "brain fart" like our beloved Wolverines do every year where they lose the One that they shouldn't have. Woodson said it right where your heart is always with one team even though you just are always waiting for the other shoe to drop!

The game on Saturday should be fun... I still have reservations about Michigan's offense, but the D should be very good. And defense wins games.

Florida State does always play some crappy teams in the non- conference schedule, not to mention the ACC is weak most seasons. They always seem to have one other decent team in there, but it's usually never the same team as the year before.

Miami is tough, but they have a few big tests this year and lost some players last year. Still, they should be a darn good team.

Oklahoma is probably going to be tough, but so are other teams in their conference. Too many teams to beat.

I believe Oregon, who didn't get any respect in the polls, will do great again this year...Fife has got a hell of an arm, and really the only question about him is if he can take over the leadership that Joey brought to the team....all around, Fife is a better QB than Harrington...Onterrio Smith is poised to have a huge year, and Oregon has a good, experienced receiving squad composed of Samie Parker, Keenan Howry, and Jason Willis...Go Gang Green!
  • The school better hope he is better than Harrington, especially with all the money spent on yet another billboard. Harrington proved people right. If they are wrong with him, they will make a mockery out of himimage
