  • ....the thin sac is what i was refering too......sorry
the one with the penny is the same one thats thinner than the other sac.
I was using the penny and the normal sac for comparison.
As you can tell I have no idea what i'm doing when it comes to pictures.
    thanks for looking.
anyway....does the sac look like it might be missing a clad layer?

I,m not sure its so thick that it warrants an error.
    Its probably within tolerances.
    Sorry

    Doh!!
Maybe it is missing some clad layer.
    Weigh them both.

OK, please do not take this the wrong way....

Pic one: PLEASE do not lay coins flat in your hand if you think they have Numismatic value, the oils on your hand (Especially the palm) will effect the coin for years...image

OK, not sure what Pic number 1 is supposed to show us, but that sure is a purdy Lincoln you got there...lol.

the second pic: I'm seeing a very light strike here, it looks as if the states is totally gone. I have seen alot of soft strike sacs in my days, this could be a soft strike or a thinned planchet caused by to many passes in the rollers. I would have to see the obverse to make a correct assumption. If both sides of the coin are as soft, then the coin probaby has been rolled thin. If the coin has a solid strike on the obverse then a layer probably has been removed (Or fallen off or somthing...lol, however they come apart.)

The last picture actually looks like it has a jagged edge (One that would be if a layer fell off) I hope for your sake a layer did come off...

Remember to keep watching your change, errors are found every day.

    Hope I helped,
    Ray
