Where is the best place to sell coins?

HI,
I have a few coins I may sell, and I was wondering which way is best to sell them? To a good dealer, a local coin show, or on ebay? Not terribly valuable stuff- a 1916 s buffalo nickel PCGS MS64 ,1943 d lincoln cent ANACS MS67, 1946 Roosevelt dime ANACS MS67 and a 1845 o seated dime raw VF to XF a good date in an OK grade.

Thanks so much for any help!

I'd recommend Ebay--and wait until things pick up there this Fall.

I agree. I will not be posting on ebay for maybe another month or more untill things pick back up. I did not do so well my last time around. image

Ive bombed on last few myself, and not becuase it was garbage i was selling.

Luckily, people on here find your auctions weither you tell them or
not, and I sold everything afterwards on here, or made some serious trades image which was even better.

You can post them in the buy/sell/trade section.

If you're going to wait before marketing the coins, then I suggest that you consider putting them all in PCGS or NGC slabs. They'll make the selling process somewhat easier, and maybe even get you more money.

This, btw, is also fraught with it's own set of risks and frustrations. So, don't take this route lightly...

  • I may slab the 1845 o seated dime but I do not think the 1943 d lincoln cent or 1946 Roosevelt dime would be worth reslabing PCGS. Do you think it would be ?
