ON SHAWN KEMP: On Thursday Shawn Kemp cleared waivers and was eligible to be signed. Sources close to the Kemp situation said it was unlikely he’d sign anywhere immediately, that he was going to spend a week or two getting himself in game shape, and then work out for possible suitors. The Orlando Magic and Miami Heat are teams sources say Kemp has the most interest in, as both have strong coaches, something Kemp is looking for in his bid to revive his dead career. Kemp sources also say money is NOT a factor, and Kemp would sign for the veterans minimum if it meant he could start and play in the right environment. League sources say that its not likely anyone offers Kemp a lot of money, simply because they do not have to.

who's better in reviving players than riley? look at anthony mason, voshon lenard, rod strickland, etc.

I think the Magic would be silly not to sign him... if Grant Hill can play most/all of the season and if TMac does what he can do, even a partially-revived Kemp could put the Magic in serious contention for the Eastern Conference.
