  • Yippeee! I have a few of those and I figured they were worth about 10 bucks. I think I'll sell mine and go to Paris!!!!!

Now that I look at his scan, I think his is worth about, well, $1.00. I think my nice ones are worth about 10.
  • Did you notice that the Rev pic will not open....at least not for me.

He must be the King of Coins. Everything he has listed is either STUNNING! BEAUTIFUL! or RARE! Just the kind of seller I'm making fun of in one of my auctions right now.image

Yes folks, you are looking at one of those rare Columbians that still sports a full rim. Because it was in such nice condition, it of course warranted a cleaning. Isn't that common practice? The nicer a collectible is, the more you have to clean it.

After we had so much fun dealing with The " $2,700.00 " 1964 Kennedy half slider, I couldn't resist sending His Majesty The King a similar message to the one I sent "hott babe" the Kennedy Queen:

<< <i>$930 ?!? Dude, what priceguide are you using?

"Here is an auction for the first of two US Half Dollar Commemoratives the US EVER MINTED!!!"

Huh? This might have been the first TYPE of US commemorative half minted. But the mint struck dozens of ohter types of commemorative halves thereafter, not just TWO. And this wasn't even the first Columbian half, having been preceded by the 1892.

Tell ya what- I'll buy a whole ton of these up, and sell 'em to you for $25 a pop. Then, when you sell 'em for $930 each, you can retire within a year, and buy a yacht. I won't even ask you for a cut of the profits. I should already have made plenty, having been able to buy similar examples of these for around ten bucks or less. >>

Any replies I get should be amusing...
