Pretty Kennedy half

I was opening an unopened 1974 box of Proof sets...probably shouldn't have done that LOL, anyways, I came across this kennedy half. Quite striking in appearance in person, the scan gives an idea of what it looks like. I wonder if I sent in the whole proof set if PCGS would slab it?

  • Is that haze?

    Otherwise a bute!
  • Yes there is some haze, but I have never seen a proof Kennedy with this much color. The haze is not as noticable in person image

That's a Very cool half. I'd acetone it for a while to make sure the hazing was in check, and submit it raw. The acetone won't (or shouldn't) hurt the toning.

  • Thanks for the advise, I think i will give the acetone a shot...watch all of the color disappear LOLimageimageimage
