Checking PCGS submissions

Would some one explain to me why when I put in my invoice # on some I get a list of the coins. When they were recieved and when they were shipped. When I Put in another invoice in the only infomation is when recieved and still prossesing with no listing of coins. or just coins shipped with no recieved date or listing of coins. Am I doing something wrong or what?image

The first grouping is closer along in the process than the second regardless of when they were received.

    toneddollars,

I've had that happen a couple of times, as recently as three months ago. I sent in two seperate invoices. Both showed a date received. Only one listed the grades and date shipped. The other invoice never did list anything else, even after I had received the coins.

    toneddollars,

In case I wasn't clear, (after rereading my reply) I meant to say both invoices showed a date received and only one showed coin grades and date shipped. But, on the second invoice, I had no information about it until I received it in the mail (grades or date shipped). Even after I received it, no information was ever provided via the submission status link.

Perhaps the reason why information wasn't given for both invoices was because I submitted them at the same time, directly to PCGS, at a coin show. Had I sent them in myself, seperately, perhaps information for both invoices may have been listed.

    Who knows?

I just know it was hard to stand the wait, not knowing!! image

It usually just means the coins haven't yet been graded. Two submissions arriving at the same time does not necessarily mean they get completed at the same time. I had three arrive on the 8th of this month. Two are complete and I have the coins back. The third still just shows the date received. I expect it will be completed some time next week.

  • Russ - I just checked out the link to your collections. I really like what you did there. Hard to discuss the coins although they all seem high quality. I have a few but they are all in NGC holders. What has been your experience with crossing NGC to PCGS in this series? I really focus on Lincolns and while I'm embarassed to admit it I did start collecting Lincolns in NGC holders. Now I find if they haven't started to turn (red to red-brown) they never seem to cross at the same grade. What do you think I will discover here? Some of them were Supposed to be high quality coins when I bought them 5 years ago. Just ask the dealer who sold them to me! Actually all but 5 coins in the series now that I have dragged them out are ultra cam pf 69. My 74s actually has a sticker on it that says pop 1. I guess this has changed since then. Any comments are welcome. After the lesson I learned in Lincolns and NGC holders, you can't hurt my feelings. Nice job again on your site.

Not good. The biggest issue is the CAM/DCAM designation for these. It is much harder to get with PCGS. The handful of CAMs (all 1964s) that I've tried got no designation at PCGS. Usually because the reverse didn't make it. I've tried both direct crossover, and cracked out.
