Anybody here know ebay seller Ultrance?

Wanted to know as this goes to the stupid feedback thing.

It was a small purchase. I paid instantly with paypal. Of coarse seller didn't leave feedback, so I played the game , and when I received I left him feedback and emailed him stating I received and left possitive feedback for him.

Also requested he do the same. Nothing, Now a month I emailed him very nicely and mentioned maybe it slipped by him . Still nothing.

Now I really don't care but it's all a matter of principal now.

So now I have to fear neg because I did good business? Because now I think I'm gonna blast him . Neg or not.

Any thoughts on this? And I hope he's a member of this board.

Edited to add: He is bidding on other auctions and has started other auctions so I think he's available to respond.

I also have had sellers that I pay them right away and never hear anything from so e-mail them after a few day's to make sure they got my payment and give no response then the item arrives eventually.
I do not leave any feedback for these sellers I just never bid on their auctions again.
I guess some people are too busy to take 20 seconds and reply.
  • not posting feedback is, i find, 4 times more common than leaving it. my basis - over 5k succesful ebay sales transactions and less than 1300 total feedback. just move on.

Thanks, Yes I will move on, and from now on I'll just make the deal and thats it.

If I see they left feedback I'll return it. So now I've been initiated to ebay and will act on how I'm treated. I allways try to do the right thing first. Then I can be as much a jerk as the next person.

Last I heard giving feedback was voluntary not mandatory. If the only thing negative about the auction was lack of feedback that is hardly grounds not to deal with that person again IMO. Some sellers take a long time to post FB or wait to do a bunch at a time.

    Stman,

Your scenario is precisely why I no longer give feedback to a seller first. Dozens of transactions, all communicated and paid immediately, post a positive for the seller and no reciprocation. Now, if a seller wants one out of me, they can post first or wait forever.

That said, I think you should just let it slide. It's a very minor thing in the scheme of things and not worth sweating.

Don't bid in his auctions anymore. There are plenty of good sellers that leave feedback every time.

Russ, Agreed and not really sweating it. Just thought I'd blow some steam. This seller sells the black boxes for the gsa series.

And you know what, He's ran 2 auctions since and raised the price
    and got no bids.

So that makes me feel better as I probably would have bought a lot more.

This happened to me and sounded like a lame excuse. I sold a coin, the buyer paid, I shipped the coin with the blurb on the invoice: "Positive feedback has been left for you. After you receive the coin, if you feel the transaction was satisfactory, please do the same." I got an e-mail from the person stating: "Coin was received. Thanks for the positive feedback. I do not leave feedback due to the fear of being held legally responsible in the event the person I left feedback for turns out to be a crook."

Sometimes I think this whole feedback thing is a joke.
    Understandable people have to cya.

But these are examples that happen in everyday life that make this world get messed up.

I still try and do the right thing , until I'm given reason not to.

And being a business owner myself, I continue to get burned . But thats the price of being in business.
