    Your coin is a copper coin with a weak electroplated zinc coating?
    Somebody made this to look like a 1944 got struck on a leftover zinc coated steel planchet from 1943?

    Anyway, congrats on your ebay listing.
    I actually just saw an ebay listing with two, unexceptional and plain 4"x4" wood post caps for sale. And they had a bid.
