I just bid on an AGC coin from Alan Hagar.

I am an opened minded buyer and don't write off a coin just because of the holder or seller. I bid 9 cents on this beauty, keep your hands off

Yeah, you got the melt value and the cost of the biodegradable plastic. And when you factor in philanthropy, it can get up to a whopping $4.25 and not experience too much buyer's remorse!

    ouch, forgot shipping.

oh well, the short leg of the couch could use a coaster.

Aren't you guys taking a big chance? 33 negs. (There's a new high bidder and it's over face value, but the plastic has to worth something, right?) Joe.
  • A new bidder may see all of these bids and jump in thinking it must be a good coin. Everyone may have been having fun in this thread, but I think you guys have helped sell another one of Hagers coin.

  • Kiefer you crack me up. Someone has always got to interupt some good old fashion fun with some serious words of wisdom. 9 bids up to $4.27 ya I'm sure were sending the wrong message to some unsuspecting Duck, Lighten up, save the preaching for church.
  • Ya Know what I'd like to see? 30 bids with that little "on fire" icon and a high bid of 20 bucks.

While Cameron is a little too serious sometimes - especially for a young guy - I have to say that I think he's right in this case. All the early bids will generate price momentum on the coin that could very well result in some newb getting screwed.

ok, i know i've defended acg before, in the sense of they are just another plastic service providing opinions that may or may not have value, but i gotta admit that this is a he11uva funny thread. good job, dudes!

I was thinking the same thing. You all may have well destroyed numismatics as we know it. I recommend you all cancel your bids and plead temporary insanity immediately, if not sooner!

    That's a great idea! Let's all cancel our bids!image

  • I thought this guy got NARU'ed?
  • RussRuss Posts: 48,514 ✭✭✭
    JeffinMich,

He did, but was back pretty quickly. Probably just forgot to pay his eBay bill. That's the quickest way to get NARU'd.
