  • Looks natural to me. A previous dip and lack of complete residue removal seems to promote the spotted effect at times.

    Looks real. ANACS is a good service to trust with toning. They net grade AT'ed coins.....But I have seen AT'ed coins in ANACS holders.

    I think it is real. How the colors graduate and fade between each other.

    I think it's natural, too, but I certainly don't think it's attractive at all. My opinion only, but I can't stand those white spots in the colors--it's just not correct looking. All my toned coins are completely devoid of such spots.

    I've seen those (natural) colors before- especially one sided (with the obverse in this case being displayed up and the reverse directly against the toning source).

    It looks very original to me. The mint and proof packing from those years produced many different colors. mike
