Current coin designs......

They are tired and boring, US Mint please change them, and make it both sides not just one like you did on the SQ program. Thank you I just needed to get that off my chest.

I agree. Time to retire all designs and get something not only new but perhaps art-deco in there.

ALL current US coins and paper currency are "tired" and boring designs. Definately time to "clean house" and start over!

I'd like to see the classic St. Gaudens style back in our coinage.

If they change them, we'll end up with abstract geometric art like the Netherlands or some of those places in northern Europe... Or we'll see politically correct people put on them. I won't name names so as to not offend anyone.

You said it. All are 50+ years old; the penny is approaching a hundred. All the current coins have a political theme (past presidents and monuments). Whenever somebody suggests to change a coin design, politicians step in (Big Surprise). ie. discontinuing the penny brought Illinois (?) politicians to legislate against it. I think another coin was going to go through a partial change in design (nickel?) but some state legisators protested.

No more presidents or buildings. I'd like to see eagles, symbols, depictions of lady liberty (again), and the like. Get some artists together and come up with some renditions.

And save all the polically correct themes for stamps and commemoratives.

I just know when we do get around to changeing a coins major design,is always been for the worse,numismaticly and artisticly.We may never see another high-relief modern coin minted.
Look at all the flat coins we have now.Zincolns,SQs,Sacs.Has the Jeff become more flat these days?
Only Roosies still look..normal.Not a flattened design change like the others.
