My local card shop was having pack wars, and I went ahead and got into the contest. Well, one of the packs was from 1996-97 Topps basketball and after opening my pack, I noticed a draft redemption card in the pack. Not really knowing squat about basketball and not realzing the value of the card I just tossed it aside. Then the owner comes up and notices I have the redemption card and then he realizes it's Kobe Bryant's rookie year the packs are from, and after I noticed the pick #13 on the front of the card, I was shocked. Not really sure if the card is Kobe's, the owner didn't even want to look it up realizing I could have a big money card but couldn't get it. So after the pack wars finished up, I checked the price and couldn't believe the $400 price tag. The owner felt sorry for me, as well as some other of the people who showed up. Well, does anyone think Topps will give a damn about me and return the Kobe card to me if I send the card out? I was thinking of getting in touch with Topps, maybe they will give me some sympathony.
Interested primarily in Champ Bailey-RCs, game-used and autos

Man i feel for ya. thats got to suck. I don;t think topps will do anything on this one I pulled two redemptions out of the same pack of 2001 topps debut for a #ed rookie jersey card and a #ed rookie card I sent them in well after many many months and a ton of phone calls i finilly got the #ed rookie jersey card. But after a year 4 months i still have not recived my #ed bell rookie. I used to call them about every week but now they don;t even answer my calls a machine dose saying leave your name number and we will call you back i have not recived a call back for over 3 months. But before then there customer service people would be rude and sometimes hang up on me and they lost my redemption information twice on there computers. topps is horrible
iv traded with: rooks
