Just received a copy. I'll post more when I finish reading. I started with a chapter highlighted by a coin I own. Gee, I already think the book is great!!! K

Could you give us a list of the coins discussed. I assume from your post that there is a chapter on each coin selected. Obviously the book is a must have for anyone who has the listed coins, but does it stand alone to be a good read for those who do not have the selected coins?

Well, let me put it this way. There are 50 "adventures" and they dont all involve coins. In my opinion, it is a nice coffee table book for the numismatist and/or his/her numismatic buddies, so, if all fifty adventures don't excite you, they may someone else; but maybe you don't see books that way.

I've got it, enjoyed some, skipped some, will go back and read some later, and have some yet to read. It works out for me and my purposes.

If you live in or around the Harrisburg/Middletown PA area, drop by, have a cup of kohii and check mine out. image

I guess I should clarify "they don't all involve coins." Some are about tokens, medals other exonumia, but, it's all educational to me.
