wanna hear something funny (yet true!)...

my cousin likes shane battier. so i gave him a gu jersey (duke jersey) for his birthday. he was VERY happy. this was the first time he heard of something called a gu. he thought it was pretty cool, but said..."what a waste of a GREAT uniform." i gotta agree on this one, why destroy a jersey. i mean, would some company cut up a honus wagner card and put it on another card and say"congradulations...you have an authentic piece of a t206 honus wagner" what's up with that! image

Companies don't care. They see it is an investment. Look at it this way. You could sell a vintage game used jersey for $10,000, or you can cut it up and make a few million (since jerseys are spreaded out among different product).

there are still GU jerseys in full out there, let the companies cut it up for those people who can't afford a full jersey so they can still have a piece,

I have nothing against card companies for cutting them up

Yes, I think it's kinda cool. Not many people get to travel to the Hall of Fame or to the other places they may be displayed, so this is a great opportunity to get to see something like that.
